Jaron M. LeGrair Studio is a Brown-owned voice training and education studio founded by Akron native, voice teacher, performer and researcher Jaron M. LeGrair.
Founded in 2013, the studio was created around the philosophy that every person should be able to “be vocally you.” Its approach emphasizes boldness, creativity and awareness while helping singers, speakers and other professional voice users develop healthy, effective and authentic ways of using their voices.
Jaron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Akron and a Master of Arts in Voice Pedagogy from The Ohio State University. His professional work spans voice education, musical theatre, gospel, performance, research and vocal pedagogy. He has trained hundreds of singers, actors and public speakers and has held faculty positions at several universities.
The studio serves clients ranging from singers and actors to public speakers and other professionals whose voices are central to their work. Services include private voice coaching, vocal assessments, performance and audition preparation, speaking-voice development, workshops and other educational programs.
Jaron’s educational reach has also grown far beyond Akron. Oberlin College reports that his voice-pedagogy content now reaches more than 1.2 million followers worldwide, and he joins the Oberlin Conservatory faculty full-time as Assistant Professor of Music Theater in Voice beginning fall 2026.
